MST for Pro Athletes

Success on the biggest stages requires mental preparation. You need to be able to be ready for the nuances of the competition arena and increased media attention, whilst being able to remain task-focused and follow your process. 

This is where Mental Skills Training becomes as much a prerequisite as your physical and technical preparation. Working on MST with a sport psychology professional provides you with:

- preparation on the nuances of competing on the biggest stages.
- a variety of mental game tools that help you improve your focus, self-talk, ability to handle pressure, recovery from making a mistake, visualization, build confidence, set goals, stay motivated, develop a pre-performance routine and, where appropriate, a pre-shot routine e.g. free throw routine.
- the opportunity to talk to somebody neutral about issues that may arise ex. relationship with coaches, agents, the media, coping with expectations.
